Get Locked In A Room Together
Over the past while, few escape rooms popped up around Dublin – try http://adventurerooms.ie/ or http://escape-dublin.com/ for the ones closest to Barnacles Temple Bar. Idea is fairly simple – you and your loved one get locked in the room and have to figure out the way to escape within an hour. There are several scenarios to play with and it will surely get your hearts racing! Maybe getting locked in the room with no possibility of escape is not the best idea for first date, but once you know you are not going out with the complete weirdo, its defo cool one to try!
Go and see the man himself
We are referring to the remains of St Valentines, patron saint of lovers. Not many people know it but the saint’s remains are found at the Carmelite Church on Whitefriar Street. If you pay a visit, you’ll find that the Whitefriar Street shrine to St Valentine has been, and continues to be, a place for those celebrating love, and special ‘blessing of the rings’ ceremony for couples intending to marry are held here on St. Valentine’s Day.
Get up high
Few places will afford uninterrupted vistas over Dublin’s skyline – try Guinness Storehouse for the ultimate city views, or walk on Croke Park walkway where you’ll get history lesson together with the view.
