Autumn is slowly but surely creeping in, but that doesn’t mean that we have any less of festivals and events in Dublin! If you are coming our way, check out some of these events – it’s always fun to do something different on your holiday! Taking place from 13-15th of October, Open House Dublin lets you explore Dublin’s Architecture in very simple but unique way. Buildings that aren’t usually accessible to the public and buildings of architectural merit open their doors for one weekend, with architectural tours provided by expert guides.
From October 27-30th, Dublin City will celebrate 4 Days of Living Stories & 4 Nights of Deadly Adventures! Play with vampires, see scary movies, dress up, boogie to the early hours… there is usually host of events you should not miss! Parade is awesome, there might be deadly banquet in a crypt and much much more…
Weekend fancy dress festival in airport hangar just outside of Dublin – if this sounds like your thing, tickets are under €50 and there will be transport to the festival from city centre. Annie Mac headlines Samhain Festival on Saturday October 28th and Liam Gallagher will headline Sunday October 29th with special guests The Strypes & Northern Ireland’s Touts.
Take a spooky sprint around the city with the Dublin Halloween Night Run around Sandymount. You’ll deserve the booty from the trick-or-treat sweet stash after completing a 5k or 10k around Sandymount the week before Halloween. You may even want to get dressed up for the occasion; a sea of skeletons or eerie spirits running on the beach? Who wouldn’t want that??? You also get fancy medal… make sure to sign up ASAP as this is sell out every year.
Wanna see TLC and go chasing waterfalls? This is the gig for you! One of Metropolis Festival’s core elements over the last two years has been a series of conversations focusing on and highlighting the creativity that works in tandem with the music. This year’s festival takes place over the October Bank Holiday weekend with TLC and Jungle performing.
