In 2017, we see comeback of Red Bull cliff diving World Series to the west of Ireland and stunning Inis Mor.
The island, known as the largest of Aran Islands, accessible via ferry from Galway or Doolin, is wonderful destination in its own right. It is perfect for a day trip from Galway, filled with delicious food, cycling around the island and exploring ancient Gaelic culture. You should make sure to visit Dun Aengus, the fort on the edge of the cliff. Lighthouses, beaches, seal colony and Kilronan village are all must-see on a trip to Inis Mor.
The Wormhole is the location of the Red Bull Cliff Diving event. It is a natural rectangular shaped pool into which the sea ebbs and flow at the bottom of the cliffs south of Dún Aonghasa. For the top 10 things to see on the island, check out their official pages.
This is 3rd time that Red Bull Cliff Diving will be taking place in Inis Mor, and if you are thinking of attending, grab your ticket here.
As tickets include ferry from Galway, this will be one day trip to remember! Make sure to book your hostel beds in Barnacles Galway sooner rather than later and party on after your return to Galway in the stunning Latin Quarter.
