Every July, Galway will be taken over by arts of all kind – there will be concerts, theater performances, parades, literature, drama and surprises! Flying whales, yes, you can even see flying whales! If all this is not enough, there are few other reasons why you should visit Galway Arts Festival this July!

Galway

Galway is amazing place to visit, and it is even better when sun is shining, buskers are playing and there is pop up theater everywhere! Atmosphere in Galway feels electric and “the craic is mighty”. Like, who wouldn’t want to be here:

Wild Atlantic Way

You will also be on the edge of Atlantic, surrounded by Wild Atlantic Way attractions. Rugged coast, hidden beaches, amazing scenery, cliffs, one of the best surf spots in the world… it is all there on your doorway, just waiting to be explored!

World class cultural events

From the world premiers, European premiers and big show tours stopping on the edge of Ireland to perform during GIAF to weird & wonderful performances from all parts of the world but also home made. There is truly something for everyone here.

Street parties

As we said, atmosphere in Galway during the festival is simply electric! ?Go to the Latin Quarter for a party, day or night!

Beach

If you didn’t think of beach when we mentioned travelling to Ireland in July, you are wrong! We may not be the warmest country, but when the sun shines, there is nothing better than enjoying ice cream and sea in Galway! And if adventure is more your thing, try kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing, kayaking, yachting and sailing, all right here!

and so much more…

If you cannot find a place to stay in Galway, commute! Buses and trains usually have extended schedule, just hop on the last service back to Dublin from Galway and experience both sides of Ireland in one visit!
