Festival season in Dublin is in the full swing, and October is set to be awesome as well! There is always something for everyone in Dublin, but if you love music, architecture or getting spooked, Dublin is the place to be! October events in Dublin include one of our favorite music festivals, Hard Working Class Heroes, and true to it’s roots, Bram Stoker festival is taking over Dublin for Halloween. We are trembling with excitement! 🙂
Hard Working Class Heroes – 02-04 October
Festival with a difference! Forget about camping in the field and trekking for hours to the stage to see your favorite band – Hard Working Class Heroes is taking over the best venues in Dublin for a weekend you won’t forget! Venues include the Meeting House Square, The Workmans Club, The Button Factory, Twisted Pepper, The Grand Social, The Mercantile, and The Bad Bobs – all within few minute walk from us (or indeed, just across the road from us). Gigs are mix of paid for and free, and you can get the full schedule and buy tickets from the official Hard Working Class Heroes Website.
Some of the highlights you MUST check out are Cfit, Ham Sandwich, Fight Like Apes, Buffalo Sunn, The Magpies and the Ghost Estates. This festival is well known for launching acts into fame, so make sure to check out bands and boast in years to come you saw them in the small, intimate gig in Dublin 🙂
And of course, one of the most famous acts that made it huge last year after a gig at HWCH – Hozier!
Open house Dublin, 17-19 October
Open house is the biggest celebration of architecture in Dublin, and is completely FREE! Buildings of all types and periods will open up their doors to allow citizens and visitors to explore the architecture of their city, with special tours by hundreds of professionals and enthusiasts! There is hundred of buildings taking part in the festival, and if you ever wanted to check out government building, mansion house, tech giants HQs, this is the weekend for you! Bram Stoker Festival, 24-27 October Third annual Bram Stoker Festival is taking over Dublin with spooky lineup of events, celebrating Dublin’s native Bram Stoker and his novel Dracula. Events range from small performances to big Gothic ball.
