Are you in Dublin this Saturday? There is amazing busking gig happening just a minute away from us in Crampton court, and you should absolutely not miss it!
Hey Troubadour – Saturday September 15th: Busk, 2pm, Crampton Court & Gig, 8pm, Whelans
Hey Troubadour is a celebration of the song born in a city of song. Two things have been the epicentre of song in Dublin these past decades – Busking and Whelans. Hey Troubadour brings both of these together for one magical day on Saturday September 15th.
Things will kick off with a busking session in Crampton Court, a brightly coloured square nestled down a tiny lane between Brogans Pub and The Olympia Theatre. Join in for an afternoon session there from 2pm where a variety of artists will come and share their songs with each other outdoors. There will be no loud speakers, just loud voices bouncing off the walls and making sweet sounds. There’s no admission charge! Oh, make sure to check out Love Lane when you are in the Crampton Court. It really is one of a kind!

Extra special guests joining Hey Troubadour for our busk only are Mundy, Muireann McDonnell and The Daydreamers. The Daydreamers are a choir of 8-11 year olds from Brittas Bay in Wicklow who only sing the songs of Mic Christopher. Mundy, Muireann and The Daydreamers will be joined by other acts for the busk – Glen Hansard, Mark Geary, David Keenan, Mongoose, Ailbhe Reddy, Stephen James Smith, Sam Kavanagh (Lalala Choir), Larry Beau, Mark Matthew Palmer, Junior Brother, Ailie., Natalya O’Flaherty, Harry Hoban and our MC Eve Darcy.
These amazing artists are all donating their incredible skills and time for free to enable all of the proceeds raised to go to Aidlink, a super cool little charity who fund community led projects.
Tickets for Whelans gig and more information are available from BornOptimistic.com
This is not to be missed! So, grab a lunch at Temple Bar market and pop down for a busking session like no other!
