Even more free tours in Dublin

In addition to our daily free walking tour, we now have the following free tours  in Dublin available as well:

Literary Walk – City of Writer’s and Rogues. This tour examines how some of our most loved and celebrated creative literary thinkers embraced and determined the cultural identity of Dublin & Ireland through their famous characters & works. We cover the Celtic Literary revival, Irish Theatre, WB Yeats, Wilde, Joyce, Beckett, Patrick Kavanagh and even deal with the traditional music revival, acts such as the Dubliners and much more. We include some hilarious anecdotes about their lives while also exploring areas of Dublin where no other free tours venture such as Merrion Square, impressive Baggot Street, Georgian Dublin & the beautiful canal bank walk. All in all a very interesting and nice, easy-going tour.

Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at 2:30pm

Brew Legacy – The story of Dublin’s brewing. The fascinating story of Dublin’s beer brewing heritage and how Dublin went from being a thriving cosmopolitan & diverse beer producing economy in the 17th & 18th centuries, with literally hundreds of breweries, to a city and market dominated by only one brewery, Guinness. It deals with the remarkable Guinness legacy and the enormous impact and benefit that Guinness has had on our city while we visit relevant sites such as St. Patrick’s Cathedral & the Iveagh Trust.

Tour will also cover the Irish Craft Beer revolution, visiting 3 local pubs important in the craft beer movement including Dublin’s only brewpub. Included are FREE SAMPLES of locally produced fine quality craft beers as well as the Official World’s Best Stout and others, some of which can only be found in Ireland, in Dublin or indeed in only one pub! Tour covers the stories of some local independent craft breweries, the brewing process, food and beer pairing tips, and much, much more. This isn’t a tour aimed at the beer-nerds nor is it a pub crawl – it really is a great story around a culturally pertinent topic inherently entwined with Dublin and indeed Ireland….albeit with some free beer tasting and interactive discussion 😉

Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday at 3pm
