There are some unmissable events in Galway this October, and we bring them to you here. The course of this marathon is what makes it unique – from Latin Quarter in the heart of Galway city, via Claddagh Quay and majestic roads overlooking Moon –like Burren and Atlantic through Glaway Bay. Ireland’s premier international arts festival for children and families runs in Galway city and county from 12th till 18th of October, featuring Theatre, Dance, Literature, Music, Puppetry, Workshops and Visual Art for all ages. See the magic of well-known stories come to dazzling life on the stage, with special treats, beautiful exhibitions and workshops
From its beginnings in 2005 this festival has become a major event on the comedy circuit in Ireland. It regularly attracts big international names to the city for week leading up to and including the October Bank Holiday weekend. From 20th – 26th of October, there will be plenty to laugh about with several shows and faces from the telly!
On Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th and Saturday 31st October, the city’s medieval streets will host the country’s biggest Halloween Festival with many fun and free events planned for the weekend with high-spirits guaranteed.
