Galway Races
31 July – 6 August

Although technically, Galway races start in July, they are such a HUGE event we felt we have to include them again.  Over 145,000 people attended the Summer races in 2016 and it is expected that this summer festival will be even bigger, with even better prizes! Put on your best outfit for the Ladies Day, kick off your bank holiday in style with Fair Lady Day on Friday or go crazy with Mad Hatter Competition on Sunday! Galway will be buzzing with street festivals and music. This is event you really shouldn’t miss. Looking for hostel bed during Galway Races? Call us directly!

12 August

Take part! Over 3000 people will be running through scenic Galway streets this year, so be one of them! The race starts and finishes in the Claddagh area of Galway city. You will get to run through little windy streets and wonderful Salhill prom in this 8k course. What are you waiting?

Wild Air Run Galway
19 August

While horses are taking a break, Wild Air Run is bringing inflatable fun to Galway’s Ballybrit Racecourse. There will be ten blow-up challenges for you to tackle, from the ominously titled The Drop, to the Maze Runner, which comes with water spraying you at every turn. There’s also a life-sized pinball machine, a moon walk and a super scream, which makes every other slide you’ve ever been on look like a walk in the park. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

Galway Pride Festival
11-20 August

Bigger and better every year, this year’s Galway Pride Festival is aiming to showcase everything that makes Galway such an amazing, colorful, cultural magnet that it is. Events throughout the week will include evenings of information and awareness, arts and performance, music nights and the rainbow colored parade on Saturday 20th August.

Pride Parade
