Walk down the Shop street on a way to Barnacles hostel in Quay street and you will pass buskers of all sorts – there will be bands, carols, dancers and more, performing under canopy of Christmas lights. It’s gorgeous!
Connacht Rugby have 2 fixtures in Galway this December, proper rugby feast for all the fans! On 16th of December they take on Brive in EU Challenge Cup, followed by match against Ulster on 23rd of December in Guinness Pro14.

Christmas Day Swim
Christmas Day Swim takes place in Salthill at the Blackrock diving boards. This is tradition in many places around the country, so if you find yourself in Galway head down to Salthill prom for a walk or, if you feel especially brave, plunge as well! This is charity event so you are defo encouraged to go!
