Brunch in Galway

In Galway this weekend? Then my friends, allow us to introduce you to the art of brunch, ever so popular in Ireland. Great food, usually a glass breakfast cocktail and nice coffee – it is no wonder brunching is favourite pastime on weekends! So, if you are waking up in Galway this weekend, first thing you should do is to go for a walk around the corner from us and check out lovely Galway market. After filling your bags with handcrafts and souvenirs, try one of these awesome places for memorable brunch in Galway:

Kai Cafe + Restaurant

Very popular with locals, so there might be a bit of waiting for your seat. But don’t worry about it too much, as rewards of fresh food and amazing eggs are well worth waiting for. Their menu changes weekly, but there is always something for everyone. And food is just stunning!

Ard Bia at Nimmos

One of Galway’s most enduring restaurants, housed in one of the city’s most iconic restaurant spaces, Ard Bia has always placed as much emphasis on community experiences and aesthetic stimulation as on serving great food in a fun environment. The restaurant is located just by the Spanish Arch, merely a minute from the hostel, and you can walk off your deliciously filling brunch with a stroll by the water. Weekend bliss!

One year later back at @ardbianimmos and it’s just as good as I remembered. #brunching

Relatively new to the Galway scene, Tribeton is a really cool restaurant and bar venue that has become a fast favourite. Their brunch offering has everything you could want for a relaxed brunch in a really slick setting. Eggs with Hollandaise sauce or stack of pancakes anyone? What else would you be doing on the weekend anyway!
