One of our favorite sporting competitions is hitting Ireland again – 6 Nations Rugby Dublin dates have been announced! There is always a great vibe about it – town is painted green supporting our boys in green (obviously!), loads of supports come from all over Europe to watch the matches, and pubs are packed with fans who weren’t lucky enough to secure the tickets. Our Dublin hostel tends to get busy very fast so make sure to book your bed ASAP!
Domestic fixtures in Aviva Stadium are Ireland vs England on 2nd February and Ireland vs France on 10th of March!
Even if you are not rugby fan or supporter, you should head to town and find a place in one of the lively pubs just to soak up the atmosphere – Irish are very passionate about supporting sports! #COYBIG (Come on you boys in green) is very likely to trend again, for you twitter machine minded folks 🙂
Our favorite pubs to watch the matches in are Mercantile, just across the road from our Dublin hostel, Crowbar is awesome as well as they have living room style room with huge projector for fixtures, and Sinnots on Stephens Green is always popular choice, with loads of screens facing the street!
Things to keep in mind – book your Dublin hostel early, stay in the Temple Bar to get the best atmosphere (visitor center is in the heart of Temple Bar, always great time there!) and enjoy the madness of the rugby weekend! And you can walk to Aviva in 15 minutes!
See you soon!
