31st July & 1st August 2010 All Ireland Gaelic Football Semifinals

All Ireland season is upon us!! Get caught up in the electric atmosphere of the all ireland championship this weekend. Whether you manage to get your hands on tickets or watch from the nearest pub. Gaelic Football matches are not to be missed! This is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in some Irish culture. Pick a team to support and cheer with the locals.
 
Tensions will be rising this Saturday as Kerry will continue the defence of their crown against Down at 2pm.That match will be followed by a mouth-watering clash between Dublin and Tyrone at 4pm. Connacht champions Roscommon will face Cork at 2pm on Sunday, with Meath's match against Kildare throwing-in at 4pm. Barnacles Hostel is the perfect place to stay for the games - in the cultural heart of Dublin there will be plenty of pubs in which to watch the matches and get into the spirit of GAA. August 16th Barnacles B Live

Come join us on Monday the 16th of August for Barnacles B Live. Here we showcase some of Dublins finest up and coming bands live in-house. On the 16th we will have live music with T.T Love - an excellent folk rock band. A brilliant atmostphere is guaranteed - with guests brave enough to face down the mike given the chance to perform

August 18th Barnacles Comedy Night

Wednesday the 18th promises to be a night full of laughes as 'Rusty Puppets Comedy Club' featuring Danny O Brien + guests takes to the stage here at Barnacles Hostel, Temple Bar. Open to all our guests this comedy club is set to have your sides splitting! But be warned we have it on good authority the comedians have travelled themselves and will be able to come up with a backpacker joke or two! So if you're up for a laugh don't miss this event and book now!

August 23rd Barnacles B Live

Monday the 23rd of August will see Barnacles Temple Bar host another evening of fantastic music. This time 'Silence Bad T.V' will take to the stage. All the guests have to do is sit back and enjoy the music. Feeling a bit more daring? Take to the stage yourself and sing a song or 2. Book your accommodation today and enjoy the music

August 25th Barnacles Comedy Night

Wednesday the 25th will see Rusty Puppets Comedy Club take to stage again at Barnacles Hostel. With Danny O Brien + guests performing a fantastic night is guaranteed. Come Join us!

The much awaited Dublin Fringe Festival will take Dublin by storm this September. With entertainers taking part from all disciplines you never know what to expect! This years theme will be DIY - bringing it back to basics which should lead to some interesting (some might say inspirational) acts. With the Fringe box office located in Temple Bar itself Barnacles hostel will be full of fringe for the duration of the festival. A fun place to stay, our temple bar hostel promises to be one full of excitement, a party atmosphere and staff who are totally dedicated to Fringe! This is one of Dublin's most popular festival so avoid disappointment and book your stay early.
