Why is Temple Bar the best?
We keep telling you that we are the best located hostel in Dublin… Maybe we should just show you how Temple Bar has it all 🙂
Temple Bar is not just about pubs, it is cultural center of the town as well, with its awesome street-art, quirky shops, weekend markets, and it is also THE perfect place for a bit of celebrity spotting… YOU might be staying in a hostel, but YOU may also share a pint of a black stuff with Bono from U2… Temple Bar is where it all happens!
So… Stay in Temple Bar for its:
And this is just a start! With awesome streetart, there is also dozen of galleries that call Temple Bar its home, and, what is really great, most of them are free to visit as well! Let’s hear it for the art!
Summer night markets, weekly book markets, quirky designer market at Cow’s lane or Saturday’s food market at Meeting house square are just some of the cool markets you absolutely MUST visit. Saturday’s market usually has a whole hog roasting, in addition to other goodies (a lot of them are vegetarian, don’t worry!)
Next to all cool markets there is really wide selection of different restaurants, and you honestly havent lived until you had brunch at Queen of Tarts 🙂
From 2nd hand designer re-sale, to unique Irish gifts, candy shops and retro outfits – Temple Bar has it all. You only need to turn a corner from our Temple Bar hostel to have some of the coolest and quirkiest shops in front of you. Temple Bar might be tourist area, but over the years, it has grown into a real beating heart of the city.
Temple Bar Buskers
To paraphrase the old saying, if you are lucky enough to see Mutefish live in Temple Bar, you are lucky enough 🙂
And we also love the Super Mario dude! Seriously, he plays music from Super Mario games! How cool is that???
While Temple Bar is not all about pubs, we can’t go through this selection and not mention them! Just next door to us, you will find the famous Temple Bar Pub – usually frequented by all celebrities that visit Dublin (which probably means you need to go and visit as well). Across the street from us is Crowbar, where you can avail of discounted drinks during Barnacles Happy hour, and then, there is like 30 more pubs and bars dotted around Temple Bar, so you will have plenty to choose from! During sunny days, make sure to check out beer garden in Temple Bar pub and roof terrace in Fitzsimmons. You can thank us later 🙂
Hopefully, this is enough for you to see why you MUST stay in Temple Bar next time you are in Dubin 🙂
And remember, Barnacles Temple Bar is the best rated hostel in Dublin, set next to the Temple Bar Pub, has free breakfast, free walking tours of Dublin, awesome in house entertainment, free WiFi, and the soundest staff ever! We can’t wait to see you here!
