For the past 5 years, September 23rd has been known, worldwide as Arthur Guinness Day – Guinness drinkers were asked to raise a glass to the memory of Arthur Guinness at 17:59 (5:59 pm), a reference to 1759, the year the Guinness Brewery was established. It became huge, worldwide celebration, backed by great music – you got to walk through Dublin and see stars like Tom Jones or Paolo Nutini playing a gig in your local pub. This year, Guinness has decided to focus more on local music, which is great, as you get to see loads of up and coming acts free of charge in both Dublin & Galway! These are all people who will probably make it big, and how cool would it be to say you saw next U2 when they nobody knew about them???

Guinness Amplify Dublin – 9-12th October
Too much awesome music to be able to list it all! You are in luck though, most of the events are taking place just around the corner from us, and our sexy reception staff will know what to recommend as well 🙂 Again, you can check out the gigs here, and if we could recommend anyone, we would say Saint John the Gambler, Kammerpop or Sal Vitro.
All music is free of charge, Guinness is sponsoring it so you can expect some cool drink specials as well, and it is surely going to be packed! Enjoy your stay in Ireland, this is how we party every day 🙂
