During the day The Quays Pub is the perfect spot to grab a chair outside and watch the masses go by. It gets busy pretty much every night and many nights a week they have traditional Irish music.

McSwiggans
This immaculately decorated premise is undoubtedly one of
Galway
City's most beautiful pubs. This place is vast inside with multiple bars and also houses a restaurant on its upper floors. Although McSwiggans opened in 1986, a pub has operated on these premises since the early 1900s.

The Skeff
Popular meeting point for the locals to come and have a pint. It is also very popular place to eat with a carvery lunch and sandwich bar during the day and a late menu served until 9pm. Whatever time you come here you will always find a crowd.

Taaffes
Located right in the Heart of the City on Shop Street - just a one minute walk from Barnacles - Taaffes has been operating as a pub for over 150 years. The building itself has been here for much longer dating back at least 400 years. Architectural evidence on its upper floors and rear smoking area make it as old as the nearby Kings Head.

Roisin Dubh:
Probably Galway's best and most intimate live music venues. Open until 2am 7 nights a week it is a good alternative to a nightclub. They have music nightly, Wednesday night is comedy night, they have a large out door terrace. We regularly receive complimentary tickets for out guests.

The Front Door:
Just a stones throw from Barnacles is The Front Door. This historic pub has been tastefully upgraded over the last few years and now incorporates four bars spread over two floors. Accommodating up to 500 people it is in the super pub league and is now open until 2am Thursday to Sunday.

Tig Coili:
This cosy pub is well known for its nightly Traditional Irish music sessions. During the summer months you will always see people overflowing from its front door. As a traditional Irish pub experience Tig Coili has it all, great atmosphere, music and craic.
