Where will I sleep??

With 112 beds in total, there is plenty to choose from! Our dorms rooms range from 4 bed - 10 bed in size. We also have private twin and double rooms available. All our rooms are Ensuite so you have that extra comfort during your stay.

Our rooms are each named after one of the famous Galway City Tribes. Look out for medieval features on our building! Barnacles hostel provides you with clean linen and top quality mattresses to ensure you get a good rest.

Chill Out Areas:

Great nights out and adventures plans are hatched in the Barnacles common room. There is always something happening and is a great place to meet your fellow travellers. With loads of board games, book swap, DVD's and our Nintendo Wii there is something for everyone.

Fancy cooking up a storm? Barnacles have a large self catering kitchen where you can create many culinary delights! Craving some traditional Irish food? Barnacles have put together a recipe book with loads of Irish recipes for our guests to try.

At Barnacles, the security of our guests is paramount! Consider us your guardian angels while you stay! Our reception is manned 24 hours a day so our staff are on hand to help with any queries you may have.

All our rooms have security key card access and safety deposit boxes are available.

At Barnacles all our cleaning staff are permanent professional cleaners who take pride in their work. They are dedicated to making our hostel sparkling clean! All our dorms rooms and Ensuite bathrooms are cleaned daily and beds made with fresh linen.
