Autumn might be here, but there is still so much happening in Galway! Make sure to pack sunglasses and brolly, and join us for some of the best autumnal festivals in the world (we certainly think so)! These are Galway Festials in September you shouldn’t miss: 

 

Galway Races Autumn Meeting,  18-19 September 

If you missed out on the summer races buzz, here is your chance to make up for it! Autumn Races meeting is help on 18th and 19th of September and is full of excitement, fashion, horses and betting – just like you would expect from a horse racing festival! Do not miss, it, Galway races are known worldwide! 

Galway Culture Night, 22 September

Peek behind the closed doors of the museums this Culture night! The event is now in its 12th year and it provides free access to museums, galleries, theatres and public buildings until 11pm offering tours, exhibitions, readings, performances and films. Drama and poetry, music and dance, workshops and lectures are all offered free of charge. This is one of our favorite nights!

Galway International Oyster Festival, 22-24 September

Galway International Oyster Festival is one of the biggest events in Ireland’s social calendar. A feast of live entertainment, gourmet food, fine wine and of course Oysters and Guinness are enjoyed by some 10,000 people every year! Taste for yourself why Galway Oysters deserve a festival!

National Hot Air Balloon Championships, 24-29 September

Sight to behold! Hot Air Balloon Championship will see over 40 teams from all over the world competing for the title! Enjoy mass launch of the balloons as well as the night glow event. Championship will be taking place over the Galway county depending on the wind directions.
