Festivals you should see in Dublin this August
Summer is in the air! Dublin has plenty of events taking place any day of the week, but we have list of festivals you should see in Dublin this August here, to help you with planning! Don’t forget, getting beds in our Temple Bar Hostel will be tricky if you leave it too late! Also, if you are true budget traveler, make use of our 15% Summer Sale and book before end of July for med-week dates! Same awesome hostel, craic and fun, just cheaper than on the weekend 🙂
Festival in the seaside harbor with over 80 performers (think Air, Banarama and Mark Ronson), Street food festival and boat parties? Hells yeah! This is no camping festival taking place in the wonderful town of Dun Laoghaire – some 30 minutes out of city center on DART. No worries, our reception team will explain how to get there!
Dublin Horse Show
Taking place in RDS in Dublin, Dublin Horse Show celebrates Irish connection with horses in festival dedicated to show jumping, fashion and entertainment. Thursday, 10th of August is Ladies day, the perfect place to showcase your new outfit! This is champagne drinking afternoon tea eating event, so if you like rubbing your shoulders with worldwide celebs, go for it!
Big Grill Festival
If you like your festival with a bit of a bite, head to Big Grill! Celebrity BBQ chefs, awesome food stalls, music and grill workshops. What more can you ask for?! We heard that guys are planning to hopscotch and bbq an entire cow at the festival, and that’s certainly a sight to see. This might not be suitable for vegetarians…
Dublin Heritage Week
Part of National Heritage Week, use this week to explore usually closed to public spaces! Many historic buildings and gardens will open its door for this week only, there will be interesting tours, once off performances and heritage focused activities, many of which are free!
