Best Temple Bar Restaurants for Backpackers

For a small area, Temple Bar packs LOADS of restaurants, bars, pubs and entertainment! When ti comes to food, choices go from reasonable to fairly expensive, so this is our little guide on the best places backpacker should pick when in Temple Bar:

Fitzgerald’s Bar & Restaurant

This is staff favorite place for drinks and pub food. As it is tiny bit out of the heart of Temple Bar it is cheaper than going to eat in Temple Bar area itself, but those 5 minute walk are defo worth it if you are looking for a more reasonable and little bit quieter traditional pub.

Porterhouse Temple Bar

Place that started craft beer revolution before there even was craft beer, this is a must for all beer lovers. Food is 2-3 euros pricier than in Fitzgerlads but entertainment is really good and there is endless beers you can try. Also, their walls are made of beer bottles. If you are into beer, this is the place you don’t want to miss.

Bunsen Burger

Best burgers in town, hands down. There is often a q of people out the door, but place is very well run, and you never really wait too long. Worth the wait though!

Mezza / Zaytoon

If you are looking for the kebab, these are places to check out. Let’s face it, everyone wants a kebab at 3 am when going home from pub! Added bonus to these places – food is delicious any time of the day, not just after pub!

Brick Alley Café / Queen of Tarts

Queen of Tarts have two locations in Temple Bar, and rightly so. If you have sweet tooth and love your cakes, this is the place you need to visiti. Brick Alley Cafe has lovely coffes and is located just around the corner from us, so you cannot go wrong with it! Food is good value as well!

Oh, check out Mezz Bar and their Brazilian Buffet Lunch – you won’t leave hungry!
