Temple Bar wins big at Hostel Oscars

Temple Bar is due a welcome boost of tourist revenue with the news that Barnacles Temple Bar House has been voted one of the best hostels in the world. The thriving hostel, popular with backpackers and families alike,also won The Best Hostel in Ireland and The Most Popular Dublin Hostel at an international awards ceremony organised by leading budget travel website Hostelworld.com.

The number of overseas visitors coming to Ireland has neither increased nor decreased since 2011, according to Tourism Ireland’s most recent Situation and Outlook Analysis Report.
